The Clan Gunn is one of Scotland’s’ ancient highland Families. Originally founded by Norse Vikings (‘Gunn’ is Viking for warrior), it is no surprise that the Gunn’s were renowned soldiers – and travellers. The highland clearances resulted in Scotsmen setting out to all parts of the New World and the Gunn’s were early and successful pioneers to the fledgling colony of Australia.
Today Andrew Gunn, with traditional Gunn spirit, is engrossed in the very peaceable pursuit of producing exceptionally fine wines. The name Cannon Point an echo of the clan’s combatitive past. All Gunn Wines are available for purchase from our Cellars and Bottleshop at the Mawson Lakes Hotel and the Crown, Victor Harbor.
